A Beautiful Story Retold… Our Gorgeous Wedding Albums!

It is always a great feeling when a client’s album shows up at our doorstep.  For us it’s like Christmas in the middle of the year!  We just love seeing their beautiful wedding day being told all over again in the pages of their wedding album.  It’s even more exciting to know we get to deliver this amazing gift to them.  Our wedding albums are handmade in Italy with genuine leather binding and so much detail goes into each album.   The pages are thick with a gorgeous photographic finish.  Here is the album we just received for our beautiful couple Leeann and William.  They chose the clear glance photo cover with the metallic finish on the pages.  We think it turned out gorgeous and wanted to share it with you… Enjoy!

Jenny and Matt I Kansas City Wedding I 8.16.14

What started as a walk around the neighborhood ended up being a walk down the aisle.  Jenny moved to Kansas City from small town Iowa with her sister so they could discover big city life together.  Boys were not in the picture when they first moved to the city but that would all change.  Matt was on a nice walk through his historic Quality Hill neighborhood when he spotted Jenny outside and they struck up a conversation.  One thing led to another and suddenly Matt was hanging out with Jenny everyday.  A few years later and Matt asked Jenny to walk with him for the rest of their lives by asking her to marry him.

They had a beautiful wedding that started with Jenny and her bridesmaids getting ready at Roca Salon.  They all had their hair and makeup done before heading to the Westin Hotel at Crown Center where Matt and his guys were getting suited up in their tuxes and the ceremony was about to take place on the beautiful sports deck overlooking the Kansas City skyline and Union Station.  Before the ceremony Jenny and Matt had a first look behind the pool in the open garden area where they were able to have a few minutes to enjoy a special moment together.  The wedding party and family joined them afterwards for some fun photos.

The ceremony was so beautiful with billowing clouds in the sky and picture perfect weather.   They exchanged vows and Matt did the Jewish traditional breaking of the glass before giving a big kiss to his new bride.  They were glowing with smiles as they exited the ceremony.  The whole wedding party celebrated on the trolley with libations and music as we toured around Kansas City and took more photos of everyone at the Kauffman Performing Arts Center.  The celebration continued with family and friends during the reception at Black On Burlington with heartfelt and humorous toasts, live music, and lots of dancing… oh, and let’s not forget the cake Mmmmmm!  Here are some of our favorite photos from the day.  Congratulations Jenny and Matt!!!

Leeann and Bill | Longview Mansion Wedding | 6.28.14

Leeann and Bill are such a sweet and awesome couple!  We had so much fun photographing their wedding!  You can’t help but smile when you see them together and how much they love each other!  Leeann’s day started at Integrite Salon to get her hair done and then moved to Town Center at the MAC counter inside Macy’s to do her make-up with her bridesmaids.  The ladies all looked stunning as they made their way to Longview Mansion where Bill was getting ready with the guys.  It was a rainy day outside but nothing but sunshine for Leeann as she put on her dress and got ready to see Bill for the first time.  The mansion is beautiful inside and out so the weather didn’t keep us from getting amazing photos.

They had their first look on the ascending staircase that looks out the gorgeous fountain courtyard in front of the mansion.  You could see them glowing as they saw each other for the first time!  The ceremony was inside as well and had a nice fireplace backdrop.  After they exchanged vows, cut the cake, and popped the champagne the reception got underway.  They celebrated with wild, yet heartfelt, toasts from their friends that included a blow-up doll then a beautiful first dance and lots of crazy moves on the dance floor.  We are so happy for you Leeanne and Bill!  We are so blessed that we got to share and capture their special day!  Congratulations  Leeanne and Bill!!

Haley and Ian |Kansas City Wedding | 6.21.14

Haley and Ian are one of the sweetest couples we have ever had the honor of photographing!  They both have the biggest and most loving hearts and share it not only with each other, but everyone who is blessed to know them!  We enjoyed every moment of the time we got to spend with them; photographing their engagement session and their gorgeous wedding!

Their wedding day was such a beautiful day!  Filled with all the people that love them; they had their ceremony at the Midtown Baptist Temple.  We went to the Memorial to get some beautiful photos of them and the bridal party before heading to the Kansas City Athenaeum for their reception.  It is very clear to see that these two were made for each other and you just can’t help but smile when you are around them!

Congratulations Haley and Ian and the Smith and Dahl families!  It was such a blessing to share in and capture your special day!  We pray for God’s abundant blessings on you now and always!

Here are just a few photos of their amazing love story…

          These photos are fantastic, Haley!

Heather and Jason – Wichita, Kansas 4.26.14

We photographed a beautiful wedding in Wichita last weekend.  Heather and Jason live in Kentucky but Heather grew up in Wichita.  We actually went to high school together so it was really cool to be part of her wedding 20 years later.  They are such a lovely couple and you can see how much they truly love each other just by watching them together.  They even got teary during their vows which is something Ashley and I just love to see!

Together they have a beautiful 5 month old daughter, Madison.  She is so precious and has become good friends with Keziah.  They just love looking at each other and playing together.  Since Heather, Jason, and Madison live in Kentucky we did a Day Before Shoot for their E-Session.  We went to Old Town and enjoyed some fun shots at the Farmers Market.

The next day the wedding and reception were both at the Wichita Marriot.  Heather was absolutely stunning in her dress and Jason totally lit up when he saw her for the first time.  They had their first look in a beautiful secluded area in the hotel restaurant.  They had a few minutes together and exchanged gifts.  From there we went to Bradley Fair to get photos by the water.  It’s a beautiful area as you will see in the photos.

It was a perfect wedding day for a beautiful couple and family.  Congratulations Heather, Jason, and Madison!
