Casey & Vince’s Wichita Engagement Session | Wichita Wedding Photographer

We had an amazing time shooting Casey and Vince’s e-session!  For Vince and Casey, it was more than a location to them, it was a part of who they are…  We journeyed to Vince’s family farm in Pretty Prairie, Kansas, just outside of Wichita, to the house where Vince’s grandmother had been born two generations ago.  This house was also the place his mother was born and grew up in, and the house where there was a special memory behind everything you saw.  I guess it’s better to say this place was more than a house; it was home!  Family is definitely the most important thing in their lives and it was awesome to be able to capture a part of who they are as a couple and as a family!

After we finished the shoot, we were spoiled by the incredible home-cooked brunch that Vince’s parents and grandparents had cooked for all of us!  They are one of the most gentle and kind familes you could ever meet!  We enjoyed hearing family stories and the great times they have shared together over the years!  We came in as photographers and we left as a part of the family.

The farm was gorgeous, the family was great, the weather was perfect, and there was no shortage of loving smiles, tender glances, or playful laughter!  We will let the photos do the talking… you are sure to see what brought Casey and Vince to this special time in their lives!

Congratulations Casey and Vince!!

Cystic Fibrosis Wine Opener at Union Station | Kansas City Event Photographer

There are so many wonderful organizations that have incredible impacts on people’s lives; and one of the ones we have had the honor of being a part of is the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.   Cystic fibrosis is an inherited chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of about 30,000 children and adults in the United States (70,000 worldwide). (www.cff.org).

We have been involved with the CF Foundation for the last three years doing event photography, donating photography sessions to their auctions, and this time our LightBox Photo Booth was a there to help raise money and awareness for this devastating disease.

Their most recent fundraising event was the Cystic Fibrosis Wine Opener at Union Station here in Kansas City.  From North to Andre’s Confiserie, there were many incredible restaurant vendors from all over the Kansas City area giving out samples of their cuisine, along with wonderful wine vendors sharing about their vineyards and the history of their wine, and a silent auction filled with great donations from local retailers.

It was an amazing evening and thanks to all the generous attendee’s, area vendors, and hard work by The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, we are one step closer to finding a cure!   Experience the Wine Opener through these photos from the evening… and don’t forget to learn about Cystic Fibrosis and how you can help at www.cff.org.

      Dear Kevin & Ashley,

I’m sitting here bawling my eyes out and I’m not sure if it’s because I’m so sad that I missed your big day or it’s simply my natural response to something so beautiful! Now the question is what to get you. What do you get a couple so obviously and richly blessed by God? We’ll think of something! In the meantime, we wish you both every happiness and all the joy that God’s sacred gift of marriage brings.

Cheers to all those who created and participated in the awesome event! We’ve already got you booked for our 50th wedding anniversary party so mark your calendar!!

      All my love,

      Jacki

      Jacki,

Thank you so much! You are so awesome! It was an amazing day and couldn’t have been so perfect! Ashley looked stunning in her dress, the convention center rocked the ballroom, and the ceremony was filled with worship. We are looking forward to seeing you guys again and hopefully before your 50th anniversary :). We miss you!

Kelly and Jeff’s Power & Light E-Session | Kansas City Wedding Photographer

We had a wonderful time shooting Kelly and Jeff’s e-session recently! We had the pleasure of working with Kelly at the Overland Park Convention Center for our “Moving Beyond the Basics Photography Workshop” and we were thrilled to hear she had gotten engaged and was planning her wedding!

One of Kelly and Jeff’s favorite weekend activities is to hang out at the Kansas City Power and Light District so we had a blast shooting their engagement photos at the Sprint Center and around the KCPL. The modern architecture, vivid colors, and their playful personalities made for gorgeous photos!

Kelly and Jeff have been together for seven awesome years and it is clear to see that their love is for a lifetime! We can’t wait to photograph their Kansas City wedding this November and celebrate this new chapter of their life together!

Check out some of our favorite engagement photos below… Congratulations Kelly and Jeff!
