When we are not photographing Kansas City and Destination Weddings, we have a great time taking rockin’ high school senior photos here in Kansas City and Wichita! We recently had the joy of photographing Rachel’s senior photos and had a great time traveling around the Kansas City West Bottoms area and got some sweet shots of the sweet and lovely Rachel! She was a trooper during the shoot and rocked it despite the drizzling rain and chilly breeze! Congratulations Rachel on your graduation!!

Jared Platt and Organic Bloom Frames | Kansas City Photographer

We recently went to our monthly Kansas City Photographer PUG Group Meeting and had the joy of hearing Jared Platt speak on Photography Workflow in Adobe’s Lightroom Software. He had a workshop here in KC and we were fortunate to have him give us a snippet of wisdom from his awesome workshop at our get together!

On top of that we all got a FREE Organic Bloom frame! Andrea Sooter (from Organic Bloom) sent a shipment of their INCREDIBLE frames to for us to choose from! They have a ton of fun shapes, colors and finishes and they are absolutely great! Check them out at www.theorganicbloom.com. I am especially excited to put some of my Ever Ashley Photography faves in my frame!

Big shout-out also to Christina Blincoe for always putting together the awesome speakers and meetings and for being such an incredible hostess too! It is a lot of work and she rocks it out!

Kris & Patrick’s Kansas City Wedding at The Berg Event Space – Kansas City Wedding Photographer

We were blessed to be a part of Kris & Patrick’s wedding day love story this past weekend! We arrived as the girls were getting ready at the Aladdin Hotel in downtown Kansas City. The colors of the room were gorgeous and vibrant and made for an awesome backdrop as we photographed their excited preparations! Kris was absolutely stunning in her gown from Bridal Extraordinaire and so excited to see her groom and become Mrs. Smith!

They had a gorgeous ceremony at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception followed by an amazing reception at The Berg Event Space. Everyone danced the night away and rocked some fun pics in our LIGHTBOX Photo Booth. There was a lot of love for Kris and Patrick from their friends an family and it was fun to see them serenaded by their sorority and fraternity brothers and sisters! Congratulations Kris & Patrick!!

Okay, I can’t go without mentioning the tasty cake and food by Affordable Catering and the gorgeous flowers by Vivid Designs! We, okay I (Ashley), love cake and Kris and Patrick’s was one of the most delicious and beautiful cakes we have seen and tasted!

We always look forward to engagement sessions! Not only do we have a great time taking photos, we also have a blast getting to know the couples, which makes for an awesome wedding day experience! We enjoy the relaxed and familiar atmosphere along with the camaraderie that comes from spending that time with the couples before their wedding day! It is always awesome to hear their love story and to see it come alive in the photos we take as we capture ‘that loving feeling’… We absolutely love what we do!
