Sara & Dane’s Beautiful Nebraska Wedding | Destination Wedding Photographer

Destination Weddings are always an amazing experience for us! We have a great time finding unique and gorgeous spots to capture gorgeous photos of our couples’ special day! Sara and Dane were our most recent destination wedding and it was in a beautiful small town in Aurora, Nebraska where Sara grew up. It was the perfect place for family and friends to gather to celebrate their wedding day!

Their special day began with a rehearsal at the Leadership Center followed by a tasty brunch at Nitta’s Bed & Breakfast. Sara and Dane had their ‘first look’ with each other in the beautiful white bandstand in the Town Square. The stunning green forest of trees surrounding the bandstand made a beautiful backdrop for this precious moment! Their ‘first look’ was absolutely precious and filled with love and happy tears as they saw each other for the first time, dressed and ready to become husband and wife! Sara and Dane absolutely light up every time they look at each other and we had an amazing time photographing them at Sara’s grandparents barn and her parents house!

We joined up with the rest of the wedding party at the bandstand where we had a great time shooting the wedding party in the Town Square at the bandstand and at some of the gorgeous old exposed brick buildings! After a beautiful outdoor ceremony, everyone headed inside and along with the traditional reception festivities, Dane surprised Sara by singing “I Cross My Heart” by George Strait. You can see in the photos how much it meant to Sara as Dane sang to her! It was beautiful! Sara and Dane put a lot of love and thought into every detail of their day and we had an amazing time capturing and being a part of it with them! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Sutherland!!

Touch-A-Truck at The Overland Park Convention Center | Kansas City Photography

We had an awesome time photographing the 2011 Touch-A-Truck event at the Overland Park Convention Center this year! This is their second annual ‘Touch-A-Truck’ event and it was bigger and better than ever! The Convention Center was filled with incredible trucks, cars, machines, activities, and a ton of great hands-on learning experiences! There were so many different things to see; like StoneLion Puppet Theatre, KC Pumpkin Patch Train Rides, Deanna Rose Farmstead goats… just to name a few! Admission was FREE with a 2 canned food items per person to donate to Harvesters. How great is that! This year they collected almost 6,000 pounds of food!

Along with photographing the event, we also had our LIGHTBOX Photo Booth there. It was a blast to watch the families and kiddos rockin’ the props and having a great time! Ashley also brought her Ever Ashley Children’s Vintage Photography experience up and took free vintage photos of kiddos from 11 am – 2 pm that day. We had a great time photographing the event and we also brought our LIGHTBOX Photo Booth. It was a blast to watch the families and kiddos rockin’ the props and having a great time! Along with that, Ashley brought her Children’s Vintage Photography Collection to the even and took free vintage photos from 11 am – 2 pm that day. Sara and Dane’s West Bottom Engagement Session | Kansas City Wedding Photographers

Sara and Dane are an awesome couple we met when they attended our Fire Starter Photography Basics Workshop when we ran a special with Living Social over a year ago. They both have a passion for photography and it is easy to see, for each other as well! They have two engagement stories and they are both great! While Dane waited on Sara’s actual engagement ring to arrive, he bought another ‘Two Carrot’ ring (yes, two carrots like bunnies eat) and surprised her with a proposal! It took Sara a moment to realize what the two mini orange carrots on the ring meant. There were two ‘carrots’ on that ring just as there would be two ‘karats’ on her actual engagement ring that was to come!

When Sara’s ring finally arrived, Dane planned a trip for them to New York City, a place they love to go as often as they can, and Dane proposed in front of Sara’s favorite building, the Flatiron Building. We had an awesome time and took some amazing photos of them during their e-session (engagement shoot) at the Kansas City West Bottoms! Kevin– these are beautiful! I love the lighting, colors and how the emotion shows in each pic. This couple will have these for the rest of their lives to reflect back on. It really tells a story and I love it.

We always look forward to our e-sessions (engagement photo sessions)! It is one of the first times we have the opportunity to really get to know our couples and also get them comfortable with having camera’s following them around. We always have a great time and Amy and Tim’s was such a blast! We got to capture their beautifully playful and loving natures and couldn’t seem to put the camera’s down! One of their favorite spots to go together is the Kauffman Rose Gardens down by the Plaza. So after we finished shooting at Loose Park, we headed to the Kauffman Rose Garden and got some beautiful photos there as a storm was building up in the sky! Luckily, the rain held off until we had finished the shoot. Talk about perfect timing! 🙂 Our favorite e-session spot with Amy and Tim was at the Olathe Prairie Center. The Prairie Center is gorgeous and it fit them perfectly! We had an amazing time there and got some gorgeous photos of them together! You can feel their love and it is awesome! Sarah & Josh’s Beautiful Hoboken Wedding | Destination Wedding Photographers

We always enjoy photographing destination weddings, and Sarah and Josh’s was definitely one of our favorites! We had a wonderful time photographing their wedding in Hoboken, New Jersey! Not only was it a beautiful wedding; they are also a beautiful couple inside and out! The love they have for each other and their families is far beyond what words can describe!

Sarah’s day began bright and early as she headed to the Tony and Guys Salon to get her hair and makeup done before their ‘first look’ at the Maxwell Place Park in Hoboken across the river from New York City. The joy and anticipation of both Sarah and Josh was awesome and we got some beautiful shots of their loving wonder as they saw each other!

Their ceremony was a beautiful celebration of Christ being the center of their marriage as they braided three ropes together and washed each others’ feet. When it was finally time to kiss the bride, they shared their first kiss together. Yes, that’s right, Sarah and Josh saved that precious moment when they kissed each other for the first time for their wedding day! Everyone was cheering with excitement for them when they shared that special moment and we have some great shots of Sarah and Josh celebrating afterwards.

After the ceremony, everyone celebrated at the Michael Anthony Restaurant and danced the night away! From start to finish, it was an amazingly gorgeous wedding and we were blessed to get to capture it!
